While allowing the third dose of the anti-coronavirus vaccine to people above the age of 18 in the country will increase the protection of people from the epidemic, the vaccination campaign will take a new turn. Vaccine companies' earnings will also increase, as the third dose will be paid.

About 87 percent of adults in the country have taken both doses of the Kovid vaccine, while only 2.6 percent of people have been able to get the precautionary booster dose. Now allowing a booster dose for all people over the age of 18, the demand for vaccines will grow exponentially.

91 crore doses will be needed

The central government on Friday allowed all people above the age of 18 to be given a booster dose. This will help in increasing immunity against the new strain XE of the Omicron variant of the corona virus and the new strain that usually comes every four months. According to an estimate, more than 91 crore doses will be required in the country for booster dose.

Booster dose only after completion of nine months of second dose

According to the rules of booster dose fixed by the government, a person will be able to take the third dose only after three months of taking the second dose, so the demand for vaccines in the country will increase immediately, it is not so. The demand for vaccines will increase, but slowly. As of April 7, more than 81.53 crore people or about 87 percent of the country's population have received both doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines. This is a huge figure considering the huge population of the country. It also indicates the success of the government's vaccination campaign. But in case of booster shot, the speed is less. However, this is also because until now only people over 60 years of age or the sick were allowed a booster or a third dose. So far only 2.6 percent of adults have received booster doses.

Record made of more than one crore in a day

A lot of flags were raised at the beginning of the Maha Vaccination Campaign in the country. People were also afraid of the epidemic, so they showed readiness in getting the vaccines. For this reason, during this campaign, a world record for more than one crore vaccines was also set in a day. However, in recent days, its speed has come down to a maximum of 14 lakh doses per day.

Now allowing booster doses to people over the age of 18 will also increase the earnings of companies. The huge stock of vaccines they have can be used to increase the immunity of citizens. Through this, it will also help in dealing with future attacks of Corona.
