Astik Patel, the Chauryasi tehsil panchayat chief of Surat in Gujarat, has been suspended for posting an obscene photo of a woman on social media. The party has also canceled the primary membership of Aastik Patel, who was associated with the BJP for the last 10-12 years.
Aastik Patel shared a screenshot of a conversation with a married woman in the WhatsApp group of sarpanches of the tehsil area two days ago. Along with this, an obscene picture of the woman was also shared while taking a bath. All the members present in the WhatsApp group felt embarrassed by this act of the BJP leader.In such a situation, Surat District BJP President Sandeep Desai, taking strict action, suspended Aastik Patel from the primary membership of BJP and the chief post of Chaurasi Tehsil Panchayat. Sandeep Desai told that as a responsible leader, Aastik Patel did a very wrong act, due to which this action was taken. Earlier, BJP councilor of Bardoli town Daksh Seth and Tehsil BJP chief Hitendra Singh Vansia had also posted obscene photos on social media. Then BJP took action against him too.Let us inform that in the Chaurasi Tehsil Panchayat in the local body elections, the BJP won 12 out of 16 seats, while the Congress got 4 seats. The BJP had made Aastik Patel the head of the Chaurasi Tehsil Panchayat. BJP has now taken action against him for making obscene photos viral.
