ISRO News: After planting the flag on the Moon, now the Indian Space Research Center (ISRO) is going to launch its Sun Mission. If everything meets the standards, Aditya-L1 can be launched on September 2. The 'Aditya-L1' spacecraft is designed for remote observation of the solar corona (outermost layers of the Sun) and in situ observation of the solar wind at L1 (Sun-Earth Lagrange point).

Aditya-L1 will study the Sun

L1 is about 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth. It will be the first dedicated Indian space mission to observe the Sun, to be launched by the space agency ISRO. The goal of the Aditya-L1 mission is to study the Sun from orbit around L1.

The spacecraft will carry seven payloads

The spacecraft will carry seven payloads that will help observe the photosphere, chromosphere (just above the visible surface of the Sun) and the outermost layer of the Sun (corona) in different wave bands.

Why is ISRO executing this mission?

Science has made unprecedented progress in this modern period but the mysteries of the sun are still shrouded. There are many such secrets buried here, which we all are unaware of. To reveal all these secrets, India is launching the Aditya-L1 mission. In this, information about many subjects will be collected. Gathering information about solar atmosphere coupling and dynamics, about coronal heating and solar wind acceleration, about solar wind distribution and temperature anisotropy and initiation of coronal mass ejections (CMEs), flares, near-Earth-space weather The main task of Aditya-L1 will be.
