Delhi-NCR AQI: The situation in Delhi-NCR is bad due to pollution. A sheet of fog is wrapped in the sky. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Management Commission has taken a big decision. The Commission has issued orders to implement GRAP-3 in the entire Delhi-NCR region. Now after this order, many works will be stopped in the entire area. Issuing the order, CAQM said that in addition to the Phase I and II works already implemented, the same should be properly implemented with immediate effect by all agencies concerned in NCR.

Now orders for online classes can be issued till class five.

GRAP Stage-III restrictions include NCR State Governments/GNCTD, which will impose strict restrictions on operation of BS III petrol and BS IV diesel LMVs (4 wheelers) in Delhi and Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar districts. With this, now the state governments in NCR and GNCTD can take a decision on closing physical classes in schools for children up to class five and conducting classes in online mode.

There will be a ban on construction and mining works

With this, operation of stone crushers will be stopped in GRAP Phase-III restrictions. All mining and related activities in Delhi-NCR have to be closed and this includes strict ban on construction and demolition activities in the entire NCR. However, during this period, emergency construction work will be exempted.

These instructions were issued under GRP-3

Water will have to be sprinkled on the roads every day before peak hours.

Governments will now have to increase the use of public vehicles. So that people use it only during peak hours, different fares should be fixed for this.

Enforcing strict ban on construction and demolition across NCR. However, some construction works have been exempted like railways, metro, airport, inter-state bus terminal, hospital etc.

Stone breaking work will be banned.

There will be a ban on four-wheelers with BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel in Delhi and NCR.

State governments can decide to make education up to class five in NCR online instead of offline.

People have been appealed not to use coal and wood for fuel.

An appeal has also been made to the people of Delhi-NCR to combine their work and travel less.
