This day holds immense significance for worshipping Lord Kubera, the god of wealth, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of health. According to astrological insights, Dhanteras offers several propitious timings for buying gold, silver, copper utensils, electronic items, and vehicles.
Chaughadiya Muhurat (Shubh Kal): From 7:49 AM to 9:15 AM.

Dhanteras Puja Rituals
On Dhanteras, thoroughly clean your home and adorn the entrance with rangoli and traditional lamps. During the puja, place a red cloth on a wooden chauki (stool) and install idols or images of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Kubera, and Lord Dhanvantari. Perform abhishek with Gangajal, then offer unbroken rice (akshat), flowers, lamps (deep), and incense (dhoop), while it's considered auspicious to worship your locker, account books, or new business documents on this day. In the evening, light a lamp facing the south direction in the name of Yamraj to ward off the fear of untimely death.

Lighting 13 lamps at the main entrance on Dhanteras evening is considered highly auspicious. Chanting the Shri Suktam 11 times in the home temple is also recommended. Reciting the mantra 'Om Shri Mahalakshmyai Cha Vidmahe Vishnupatni Cha Dhimahi Tanno Lakshmi Prachodayat' invites wealth and good fortune into one's life.
