The passion for cricket of Ashok Kumar Thakur, who runs a salon at Nanour Chowk in the block, made him a millionaire overnight. Ashok Thakur won a prize of one crore rupees by making a team in the Dream XI in the IPL.


There is a wave of happiness among friends and well-wishers including relatives on his success. Ashok Thakur, originally a resident of Araria Sangram of Jhanjharpur block of Madhubani district, comes from a very poor family. He maintains himself and his family by running a small salon at Nannor Chowk in the block.

Regarding his success, Ashok told that he tried his luck by making a team in Dream XI by investing Rs 49 in IPL match of Chennai and Kolkata on Sunday night. All the players created by him performed best and made him a millionaire.

Ashok will get an amount of 70 lakhs after deducting 30 percent tax. After becoming a millionaire, Ashok said that he could not sleep happily throughout the night. He will never leave the work with which he has reached here. With this money, he will first pay off his debt and build a house.

On this success of Ashok, father Mahesh Kumar, mother, brother and wife and children have expressed happiness over Ashok's success. Local social workers Ramchandra Yadav, Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Yuva JDU Block President Raman Kumar Mishra, Mahendra Thakur, Bahadur Thakur etc. have congratulated him on becoming a millionaire of Ashok.

Ashok told that his first rank came as soon as the match ended at around 11.30 pm. Immediately on behalf of Dream XI, he was congratulated by informing him about becoming a millionaire through message and phone.
