Rajasthan Politics: The Rajasthan government on Friday changed the name of the scheme 'Indira Rasoi Yojana' launched by the previous Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot. Now this scheme will be known as 'Shri Annapurna Rasoi Yojana'. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made the announcement in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the state BJP headquarters here and said the old plan had several flaws.

The scheme was started during the reign of Vasundhara

This scheme by the name of Annapurna Yojana was started during the reign of Vasundhara Raje. Then the Gehlot government changed the name of Vasundhara government's Annapurna scheme, which provides breakfast for Rs 5 and food for Rs 8, to Indira Rasoi. When its name was changed to Indira Rasoi Yojana during the Gehlot government, BJP had created a ruckus and said what was the need that the name of the scheme was being changed. Now once again the name of this scheme has been changed to Shri Annapurna Rasoi Yojana.

PM Modi has come to Jaipur to participate in many programs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Jaipur on Friday evening to participate in several programs. At the time of filing of this report, Modi was holding discussions with Rajasthan BJP MLAs, ministers and party officials on the first day of his three-day visit to Jaipur. Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje did not attend the meeting, leading to speculation. Modi later had a dinner with party officials and MLAs, where dishes made from millet were served.

Ram temple invitation can be distributed to party leaders

PM Modi will participate in the ongoing DG-IG conference at Rajasthan International Center today. The Prime Minister will also hold a meeting with party MLAs and office-bearers and assign them tasks for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May. Sources said that the PM may also distribute invitations to party leaders for the inauguration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
