Lok Sabha Elections: Congress and SP have joined hands to stop BJP's victory chariot in Uttar Pradesh. To save Amethi and Rae Bareli seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has made an agreement with Akhilesh Yadav on 17 seats. However, the suspense is increasing as Congress candidates have not been announced on both the seats yet. There were also reports that no member of the Gandhi family will contest elections from UP, however now UP Congress President Ajay Rai has given a statement that Priyanka Gandhi will contest elections from Rae Bareli.

Churning is going on within the Congress regarding seats in the Lok Sabha elections. First the Congress Working Committee meeting was held, then the Central Election Committee meeting, despite this there is still no clear picture regarding UP. Congress has formed an alliance with Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha elections. In the agreement, Congress has got 17 seats in UP. Nomination work for eight seats of UP will also start from tomorrow. Out of these, Congress has got the Saharanpur seat. There is talk of Imran Masood contesting elections from there. But no formal announcement has been made yet.

Congress lost its sweat in deciding the candidate

Actually, Congress has taken seats from Samajwadi Party in the name of leaders. Still, the party leadership is struggling to decide the candidate. The seat of Maharajganj was taken for party spokesperson Supriya Srinetra. Later he refused to contest the elections. Meanwhile, powerful leader Aman Mani Tripathi was included in the party. He is the son of Amar Mani Tripathi. The party felt that there could be a dispute over his name. Due to this it was decided not to give him the ticket.

Now it has been decided to contest the elections from there to MLA Virendra Chaudhary. Sitapur seat was taken from Samajwadi Party for Nakul Dubey. He gave up on contesting elections. During this time, the party included Samajwadi Party leader Pramod Verma in Congress. Now the Congress party wants to give ticket to former BJP MLA Rakesh Rathore.

Ajay Rai said a big thing

Congressmen of UP are in coma due to the decision of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi not to contest elections. They are wondering which way they should go among the public to seek votes. They fear that BJP people will say that Rahul-Priyanka left UP due to fear of defeat. In such a situation, what will the Congress people answer? Congress party repeatedly claims that Rahul and Priyanka will not contest the elections. It was said that Rahul will contest from Wayanad only and Priyanka will campaign.

UP Congress President Ajay Rai says that Priyanka ji will contest the elections at any cost. We are also making preparations for this in Rae Bareli. There we are busy strengthening the organization from booth to district level. BJP has also not given any candidate from Rae Bareli yet. Sonia Gandhi has been continuously contesting elections from here, she has now reached Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.

These leaders can get tickets

There has been no election committee meeting regarding UP tickets. But many leaders have been given indications to contest the elections. Such leaders have also started election campaigning in their areas. The name of party spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh from Deoria has been decided. He has contested Lok Sabha elections before also. Tanud Poonia will contest from Barabanki reserved seat. His father PL Poonia has also been an MP from here. There is talk of giving ticket to Alok Mishra from Kanpur. It is being said that for this reason former MLA Ajay Kapoor left the party.

There is still suspense regarding Jhansi and Ghaziabad. Danish Ali's name is fixed from Amroha. He has previously been a BSP MP from this seat. However, many local Congress leaders of Amroha are opposing him. The party has not been able to take any decision yet regarding Prayagraj and Bansgaon. Only state party president Ajay Rai will contest elections from Varanasi. He has contested elections twice against PM Narendra Modi.
