According to the data of Delhi's Health Department, the corona infection rate in Delhi was 2.70 percent on April 11, which increased to 3.95 percent on April 15. The very next day, on 16 April, the infection rate increased to 5.33 percent and on 18 April it increased to 7.72 percent. According to this, 67,360 samples were tested in Delhi last week, out of which 2,606 were confirmed positive. The average infection rate during this period was 4.79 percent.

Tested so many samples

According to Delhi government data, 5,079 samples were tested in the city on April 11, out of which 137 were found infected. Here on April 18, 6,492 samples were tested, in which more than 501 confirmed infections. During this, two patients of Kovid-19 died in the national capital.

What do doctors have to say on the increasing cases?

Doctors say that the cases of corona may increase further in the coming days. However, he says that the current situation is not too worrisome as most of the cases are of mild infection and are due to variants of the virus.

Dr Jugal Kishore, Head of Community Medicine, Safdarjung Hospital, said, 'This variant spreads more rapidly but it is causing mild infection. It is only causing infection of the upper respiratory system. He said that as the cases increase, the death rate will also increase slightly and the rate of hospitalization will also increase but it will not be out of control.

Dr Abhinav Guliani, Respiratory Specialist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said, 'People should be alert. Cases will increase, however, it will not go out of control. DDMA will hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the increasing infection in Delhi, where the necessity of wearing masks is likely to be discussed.
