Delhi: The Congress, which is engaged in the strategy and implementation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, is lagging behind in the preparations for the Gujarat Assembly elections. On one hand, while the ruling BJP has started campaigning, the Congress is yet to decide the election strategy. Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party is also gaining strength in the state. Elections are to be held in the state at the end of the year.

The trio of Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakur and Jignesh Mevani is shattered. Now only Jignesh is left with the party.

Hence the Congress expected a better performance in the tribal seat.
