BOMB BLAST / Explosion inside mosque during prayers in Peshawar, 30 killed; 50 people injured

There has been a major accident in Peshawar, Pakistan and during Friday prayers there was an explosion inside Imam Bargah (mosque). So far 30 people have died in this accident, while more than 50 people are said to be injured, who have been admitted to the hospital.

According to the police it was a suicide attack

According to the CCPO of Peshawar, police security was deployed at Imambad located at Kocha Risaldar. He said that initial reports suggest that the attackers shot two police guards and soon entered the premises with explosives. It was probably a suicide attack in the Imambara.

The injured were admitted to the hospital

After the incident, the police team has reached the spot and medical aid is being given to the injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Locals said that there are many markets in this area and it is usually packed during the Friday prayers.
