Weather Update: North India is battling with the cold. The temperature is decreasing daily. In the beginning of January, the cold suddenly increased. Heavy fog is also falling along with the cold. Visibility was very low on Monday night and Tuesday due to fog. It had become very difficult for vehicles to move on the road. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has given relief news. According to the Meteorological Department, the people of North-West India are expected to get relief from the cold wave for the next four days. However, on January 11, cold day conditions with dense fog will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.

Delhi in grip of smog, air in severe category

At the same time, Delhi is in the grip of smog with severe winter and dense fog. There is still no significant reduction in pollution here. Delhi's air remains in the severe category. The air quality index i.e. AQI 421 was recorded in the capital on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature in the capital Delhi can be recorded at 7 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 20 degrees. On the other hand, there has been some relief from the dense fog in Delhi today. Tomorrow on January 12, it may be cloudy in Delhi. Along with this, light drizzle can also be seen. On January 12, the minimum temperature in Delhi can be recorded at 9 degrees.

Fog warning continues in UP

Fog warning has been maintained in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab for the next 24 hours. After this there is hope of improvement. It is expected to decrease from Thursday, January 12.

The Meteorological Department said that due to the fresh western disturbance, there has been little relief from the cold wave. The mercury has increased by one to three degrees in many areas of North India. The Meteorological Department has predicted a rise in temperature in the next 72 hours. It can go up to two to four degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, this is happening because the wind direction will change due to western disturbance, due to which the cold winds will not blow for a few days.

Railways canceled 322 trains today

Due to cold and fog, Indian Railways has canceled 322 trains today on 11th January. Out of these, 277 trains have been canceled completely while 45 trains have been partially cancelled. Apart from this, 42 trains have been rescheduled, while the route of 8 trains has been changed.
