Weather Update: Entire North India is in the grip of severe cold. While Delhi's winter is continuously breaking records, the situation is bad in Punjab, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a new alert regarding severe cold and dense fog. According to the Meteorological Department, the fog is going to wreak havoc for the next 2 to 3 days, due to which red and orange alerts have also been issued for many states.

Fog will wreak havoc in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, due to light winds and high humidity near the surface in the Indo Gangetic Plain areas, the fog will be extremely dense for the next three days, which means visibility can be zero meters. In Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, UP, Uttarakhand, North Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, the fog is going to wreak havoc for the next two to three days, due to which the Meteorological Department has warned many states. Red and Orange alerts have also been issued for the same.

Snowfall and rain on the mountains, mercury dropped in the field

Snowfall and rain in the mountains have brought down the mercury in the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall in the higher reaches and light snowfall in the plains in the coming days. Light snowfall occurred in some higher reaches of Kashmir. The minimum temperature settled near zero at most places in the valley. The weather has changed in Himachal Pradesh as well. There has been fresh snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti along with Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass. Kangra, Chamba and upper areas have also covered with snow cover.

At the same time, the weather is going to hit Uttarakhand as well. According to the Meteorological Department, there is also a possibility of snowfall in areas with a height of more than three thousand meters. At the same time, it is bone-chilling cold in the plains as well. Most of the states of North India are covered with the blanket of fog.

Dense fog hits Delhi-NCR, out of breath due to pollution

The people who were moaning due to the severe fog and cold in Delhi NCR were not even relieved that pollution has started showing its effect. Here once again the thorn of the air quality index has turned red. To curb the increasing pollution in Delhi, the Air Quality Management Commission has also come into action. The commission has banned the running of BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles till Friday. Along with this, all NCR states have been asked to implement measures to prevent pollution with more strictness. This ban has come into force in entire Delhi from today. At the same time, the Air Quality Management Commission says that they are monitoring the situation. The ban could be lifted even before Friday if the air quality improves.

If we talk about the AQI level of Delhi, then yesterday the AQI level of Delhi was 434 whereas today the AQI level of Delhi has gone up and down.

Talking about different areas of Delhi-

The AQI level has reached 653 in Karni Singh Shooting Range.

While 565 AQI level has been recorded in RK Puram.

At the same time, AQI level has reached 526 in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The Major Dhyan Chandra Stadium has also recorded an AQI level of 526.

The AQI level in Anand Vihar remains at 476.

At the same time, AQI level has crossed 553 in Padparganj.

Similar is the condition of the areas around Delhi. Here too, a double attack of cold and pollution is visible, due to which people are gasping for breath.

AQI level has reached 348 in Noida.

586 AQI in Ghaziabad

Whereas AQI level 498 in Gurugram.

The condition of Faridabad is also similar. Here too AQI level 545 has been recorded which means the air of Delhi NCR has become poisonous once again.
