Heeraben Modi Death: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben passed away on Friday. She was about to turn 100 years old. On hearing the news of his death, a mountain of sorrow broke down on PM Modi. He immediately reached Ahmedabad and shouldered his mother's bier. During this the PM's eyes were moist. It was he who lit the funeral pyre. Hiraben was admitted to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center in Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning due to some health problems.
