That incident reportedly took place within Russian territorial waters, while the MV Omorfi had 10 crew members on board at the time, including three Indian nationals. Tragically, that attack resulted in the death of an Indian crew member and Chief Officer, Sagar Gupta. The other two Indian crew members on the MV Omorfi were rescued safely. These back-to-back incidents have raised serious concerns regarding the safety of Indian maritime workers operating in high-risk zones across the globe.
