New Delhi : External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has advised not to give knowledge to the world on foreign policy. He said on Wednesday that the government is very focused on its diplomacy. Jaishankar said that India should look after its national interests effectively and be less concerned about imparting knowledge to the world on foreign policy. The Public Destruction and their Distribution System (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill, 2022 was debated in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. During this, the minister said that there is some missing in the existing law, which needs to be rectified.

Jaishankar also referred to China's opposition to India's membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group. He said, "There is a reason that many of you know why there is no consensus. There are countries that are really concerned about this and that they want to debate. There are countries like that. Those who have agendas and are creating barriers to consensus. We are working on this situation."

He said that in today's global circumstances, we believe that all countries should respect the United Nations Charter and all international laws and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all. Referring to the situation in Ukraine, the External Affairs Minister said, "If there is any side that India has chosen, it is the side of peace. We are in favor of ending violence immediately. We have outlined this stance in all fora, including at the United Nations.

The External Affairs Minister said that in a complex and globalized world, every country understands the reality of interdependence. By paying attention to this, it will be known that all the countries are making such a policy which is in accordance with the interests of their people. He said that if we look at Europe also, then the flow of energy like fuel continues uninterrupted. There are financial and payment dimensions in the context of the effects of conflict and its effects on non-essential products are also being discussed.
