The Jalmahal built in Mansagar Lake in Jaipur has been carved out of 22 carat gold. The Anand Mahal Tibari has been given a new look with gold carvings as well as Kundan and Meenakari. The 288-year-old Jal Mahal has been renovated on the Lotus theme. Jalmahal has been given a royal look again by spending 135 crores.

Navratna Kothari tells that this is his dream project. Kothari has taken Jalmahal on lease for 99 years for about 2 crore 92 lakhs. Kothari has hired and got the best people from the country and abroad for this project. For this project, he himself used to go to the field and get the work done. Kothari's vision has been to bring back the Jalmahal in the same avatar as it was built years ago. Sanjay Kothari has taken the command to take this project forward.

It is said that there used to be a royal garden on the roof of the Jalmahal. Due to lack of attention for a long time, wild grass had grown here. Indian Garden Expert Michel AK Kites has rebuilt the Shahi Bagh here.

Lotus theme has been given to this garden. The Char Bagh of Jasmine Garden with four heritage divisions is beautifully carved. The design of the beautiful railing of Chameli Bagh has been taken from the Kamal Burj Mandal present in the Chandra-Mahal Garden of the City Palace. In jasmine garden all flowers are white. The air here smells of jasmine, lotus and frangipani flowers.

There are white marble chhatris and tibari around the garden of Jalmahal. The grandest Anand Mahal here is Tibari. The art work here is inspired by the art of Sileh Khana of Jaipur's City Palace.

Ras Bihari Tibari is based on Rajasthani Art. It depicts the Raas Leela of Inspired Krishna from the grafty of Pritam Chowk of City Palace. The artist had done the entire work of this tabari lying down. The urn of Tibaris has also been plated with gold. which will be maintained from time to time. Work is yet to be done on the remaining two Tibari. which will start soon.

The marble and sandstone work in Jalmahal is inspired by the Rajput architecture of Amer and Jaipur. Under the supervision of Master Mohan for the renovation, marble was brought from the same 300-year-old marble mine at Andhi, Jaipur, which was once used to build the palace.

To bring the Jalmahal in a better condition, the country's leading expert in architecture conservation and the guidance of Awarded Professor Kulbhushan Jain for the work done on Mehrangarh Fort was taken. He discovered the traditional plaster making technique after months of research. In this technique a mixture of lime, sand and surkhi was made. Trend artisans were involved to install it.
