The Indian automotive market is preparing for a significant entry in the premium SUV segment as JSW Motors, in partnership with the Chinese automotive giant Chery, is set to introduce the Jetour T2. This plug-in hybrid SUV marks the debut of the brand in India, aiming to cater to a growing demographic of consumers who seek the dual benefits of electric efficiency and petrol-powered reliability in a single vehicle. According to recent industry reports, the Jetour T2 is scheduled for an official launch in the Indian market around the festive season of Diwali in 2026. To ensure competitive positioning and support the 'Make in India' initiative, the SUV will be assembled locally. The production will take place at JSW Motors' newly established manufacturing facility located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
