New Delhi. The Kejriwal government has issued instructions to its officials to stop taking orders directly from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. All the ministers have given instructions to their respective department secretaries. Strictly follow the Transaction of Business Rules (TBR). The secretaries have been instructed to report to the concerned minister in respect of any direct order received from the LG. It has been said that in violation of the Constitution and the decision of the Supreme Court, bypassing the elected government, the Lieutenant Governor is issuing direct orders to the secretaries.

It has been said in the instruction that the implementation of such unconstitutional direct orders of LG will be considered a violation of Rule 57 of TBR. Any such order given by the LG is in violation of the Constitution and the directions of the Supreme Court. The government will work seriously to implement the constitution and the orders of the Supreme Court.

Government's allegation, the Lieutenant Governor did not accept the decisions of the Supreme Court

In the past too, a situation of conflict has arisen between the Delhi government and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on many issues. The government had alleged that the Lieutenant Governor did not accept the decisions of the Supreme Court and he ignores the government and gives orders directly to the officers, this has a bad effect on the work. Ministers of Delhi Government, Deputy Chief Minister and even Chief Minister Kejriwal himself have alleged in the past that the Lieutenant Governor interferes in the functioning of the government. He alleged that the LG gives direct instructions to the officers and also sends the files related to the work directly to the officers. The ministers have written letters to their secretaries saying that if the Lieutenant Governor gives direct instructions to the officers, then the information should be given to the ministers.
