PM Modi News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted to the controversial statement of Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatan Dharma. He said in the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday that a proper response should be given to Udhayanidhi's statement. According to sources, PM Modi gave permission to ministers to speak on the Sanatan Dharma controversy with conditions. In the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed the ministers not to speak on India and India dispute. The PM also said that the ministers who are on duty with foreign heads of state in the G-20 Summit should prepare in advance to get information about the culture and lifestyle of that country.

What did Udhayanidhi say?

Udhayanidhi Stalin had said that 'Sanatan Dharma divides people on the basis of religion and caste. The complete destruction of Sanatan Dharma would actually be in the interest of maintaining humanity and equality. Udhayanidhi is under target after this comment. However, Udhayanidhi later claimed that he had not made any call for violence against followers of Sanatan Dharma.

BJP compared the DMK leader's statement with Hitler's portrayal of Jews. BJP said in a post on social networking site The party alleged that there is an eerie similarity between the way Hitler portrayed the Jews and the way Udhayanidhi Stalin described Sanatana Dharma.
