US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that Israel has resumed water supply to southern Gaza. According to Sullivan, the decision to restore the water supply was taken after a phone conversation between Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden. The supply of electricity, water, food and medicines has been cut off in Gaza for eight days. Now it has been decided to provide only water. Earlier, Biden spoke on phone with Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. He discussed humanitarian assistance with both the leaders while emphasizing on not allowing the war to escalate. According to the White House, Biden strongly condemned the terrorist attack by Hamas. Abbas told Biden about his involvement in the region and his efforts to deliver urgently needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, especially Gaza.
