Sanjeevani Scam: Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, surrounded by allegations of the famous Sanjeevani Credit Co-operative Society scam, has got relief from the High Court. The High Court, while hearing on Thursday, stayed his arrest in the Sanjeevani scam. The High Court has ordered an interim stay on arrests on SOG and FIRs registered anywhere in Rajasthan. Here, targeting the relief given to Union Minister Shekhawat, the CM said that instead of returning the money, Gajendra Singh is going to the High Court... I am getting angry on this.

After refusing two hearings, the decision came on the third

In fact, in the Sanjivani Credit Co-operative Society scam case, the SOG had started registering FIRs in Jalore and Barmer districts including Jodhpur. Following these FIRs, Union Minister Gajendra Singh had filed a petition in the Jodhpur High Court on March 24 demanding a CBI probe into the matter and a stay on the arrest.

Earlier, in the hearing held on March 28 and April 3, the bench of High Court Justice Maneaj Garg and Praveer Bhatnagar had refused to hear. But, in the hearing held on Thursday, April 13, Justice Kuldeep Mathur, while giving relief, stayed the arrest and asked for a re-hearing after 3 weeks. Senior Advocate Manindra Singh, his Assistant Advocates Yuvraj Singh and Aditya Vikram Singh were also present in the Jodhpur High Court on behalf of Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh.

CM said - I get angry, the accused were not there, so why did you go to the High Court

Here, after getting relief to Union Minister Shekhawat, CM Gehlot targeted him. He had arrived on Thursday to attend the convocation ceremony of RUHS held at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur. Here, during a conversation with the media, he taunted Shekhawat and said – Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has put a stop to the arrest. Till yesterday they were saying that I am not involved in this matter, then why did they reach the High Court? Why have you filed an appeal for not arresting yourself?

I would like to say that - 2 lakh families were ruined, he should be ashamed that being a Union Minister, he is not accepting his mistake. Tell your friends to sell the properties that are in India or abroad and repay the money.

He said about Shekhawat – It is a matter of great honor to become a Union Minister and what else is needed in life? The people of Rajasthan are getting ruined, people came to me too and started crying. He should be ashamed, people are happy to be MLA. Such a minister has no right to remain a Union minister. The PM should sack such a minister.

I am getting angry. They are not going ahead and saying that they will get the money. Why are you not getting the money? If the accused were not there then why did you go to the High Court?

Chief Minister and Union Minister are face to face

For the last few months, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are at loggerheads over the issue of Sanjivani Co-operative Society. Regarding the Sanjeevani issue, on February 21, the CM had named Shekhawat and his family as accused of this scam. After this, Shekhawat filed a defamation case against Gehlot in the Delhi court in the first week of March.

After filing a defamation case against the Chief Minister, SOG became active in Rajasthan and started registering cases against the operators of the society. Since March 22, more than 200 cases have been registered in Jodhpur, Barmer and Jalore.

BJP's new state president CP Joshi does not deny that many leaders are in the race for the CM face in his party. He says- It is a good thing that there are many such leaders in our party who have mass base, who are popular.

However, Joshi rules himself out of the race for chief ministership. It is said- 'I consider myself fortunate that the BJP government was formed when I was the party president and we should garland whoever becomes the CM.'
