PM Modi 76th Birthday: Nationwide Aashirwad Ka Diya Campaign Lights Up India

India celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday with the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' campaign. From 1.25 lakh lamps in Delhi to a record 33 lakh in Ujjain, citizens and leaders across the country lit diyas to pray for his health and 25 years of public service.

On the occasion of the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a massive nationwide campaign titled 'Aashirwad Ka Diya'. This initiative saw the lighting of lamps across various parts of the country to pray for the Prime Minister's excellent health, longevity, and to celebrate the completion of his 25 years in public life. The campaign resonated from the spiritual ghats of Varanasi to the far reaches of Assam, symbolizing a collective gesture of respect and well-wishes for the national leader.

Grand Celebrations in the National Capital

In Delhi, a special and grand program was organized to mark this significant milestone. 25 lakh diyas. The sight of over a hundred thousand lamps lighting up the heart of the capital created a mesmerizing atmosphere. During the event at Vijay Chowk, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated by lighting an 'Aashirwad Ka Diya', expressing her heartfelt wishes and blessings for Prime Minister Modi's continued service to the nation.

Kolkata and Uttarakhand Join the Festivities

The celebrations extended to West Bengal, where a significant 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' program was held at the Baja Kadamtala Ghat in Kolkata. Senior leader Suvendu Adhikari graced the occasion, where 1 lakh earthen lamps were lit along the riverbank. A large number of people gathered at the ghat to participate in the ceremony, creating a sea of lights in honor of the Prime Minister's birthday. Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed a special Aarti at Kalsi in Dehradun, seeking divine blessings for PM Modi's well-being.

Lucknow's Tribute at Rashtra Prerna Sthal

In the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' program was organized at the Rashtra Prerna Sthal. The event saw the presence of high-profile dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya. A large crowd of supporters and citizens joined the leaders in lighting lamps to celebrate the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of the day, stating, "We've all gathered here at Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow. This is indeed an important day as it marks the birthday of the world's most popular leader, PM Narendra Modi. The Rashtra Prerna Sthal was inaugurated on December 25, 2025.

Messages of Support and Spiritual Observances

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also shared his sentiments via a social media post, while he tweeted, "Today, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, I lit a lamp and prayed to God for his good health and long life. It's my heartfelt wish that the resolve to take India forward under his leadership becomes even stronger.

In the Prime Minister's own constituency, Varanasi, athletes and sports enthusiasts gathered at the Dr, while sampurnanand Sports Complex in Sigra. They lit lamps to honor their Member of Parliament on his 76th birthday. The event was attended by Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari and RSO Naveen Kumar Singh. Also, in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha participated in the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' program at the Tripura Sundari Temple as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.

Ujjain Sets a New Record with 33 Lakh Lamps

The city of Ujjain, also known as Avantika Nagari, witnessed a historic and golden chapter on Thursday evening. Under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', a Deepotsav program was organized with unprecedented grandeur and enthusiasm. Ujjain captured the nation's attention by setting a new record, lighting more than 33 lakh diyas simultaneously along the banks of the Shipra River.

The event also marked the first visit of BJP National President Nitin Nabin to Ujjain. He was given a historic welcome in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and State President Hemant Khandelwal. Nitin Nabin took a boat ride from Narsingh Ghat to Ramghat, acknowledging the massive crowd of people, while he then joined the grand Maha Aarti on the main stage and lit the first lamp. As the sound of a siren echoed through the evening, over 30 lakh lamps were lit at once across Ramghat, Dutt Akhada, Mahakal Lok, and surrounding ghats, creating a breathtaking spectacle of light.
