Bangladesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to India on Saturday from his two-day visit to Bangladesh. During this visit of PM Modi, many agreements were reached between the two countries and at the same time PM Modi held a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. After the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the gift of 12 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Apart from this, PM Modi handed over 109 ambulances to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. India's handing over of vaccines and ambulances to Bangladesh is seen under the 'Neighborhood First Policy'.

Indian Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla said that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has praised India's 'Neighborhood First Policy'. PM Modi went on a 2-day visit to the neighboring country to participate in the event organized to mark the 50 years of Bangladesh's independence, where he sealed several agreements.

Bangladesh has already been given 90 lakh vaccines from the Serum Institute. India has already given 20 lakh doses of vaccine to its neighboring country Bangladesh. India has told its international partners that it will prioritize domestic vaccination over vaccine exports as the country is battling new infections. Bangladesh has vaccinated more than 5 million people since the start of its vaccination campaign in February.
