PM Modi Slams TMC Over Alleged Disrespect to President Droupadi Murmu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the TMC government in West Bengal for allegedly disrespecting President Droupadi Murmu. Speaking at an event in Delhi, he inaugurated projects worth ₹33,500 crore and highlighted the achievement of 3 crore 'Lakhpati Didis' while addressing infrastructure delays.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of West Bengal during a public event in Delhi on Sunday. The Prime Minister alleged that the West Bengal government had shown gross disrespect toward the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. He stated that such an act, especially around International Women's Day, is an insult to the nation's women, the tribal community, and constitutional traditions. The Prime Minister emphasized that the people of West Bengal and the entire country wouldn't forgive the TMC for this conduct, which he described as a violation of democratic norms.

Allegations of Disrespect to Constitutional Values and Tribal Heritage

During his address, Prime Minister Modi noted that President Droupadi Murmu had traveled to West Bengal to participate in a significant ceremony honoring the Santhal tribal tradition. According to the Prime Minister, the TMC government chose to boycott this sacred and important event, while he highlighted that the President herself hails from a tribal background and has consistently shown deep concern for the Santhal community. The Prime Minister asserted that boycotting an event attended by the Head of State is an affront to the Constitution and the great traditions of Indian democracy. He suggested that this move reflects the state government's disregard for constitutional authorities.

Inauguration of Development Projects Worth ₹33,500 Crore

On this occasion, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects worth ₹33,500 crore for Delhi. These projects primarily focus on improving transportation and urban infrastructure. Prime Minister Modi stated that these development works are the result of the trust placed by the citizens of Delhi in the government a year ago, while he mentioned that these projects would provide a new impetus to the continuous flow of development in the capital. The Prime Minister congratulated the citizens of Delhi on these new facilities and reiterated the central government's commitment to transforming the city's infrastructure.

Milestone of 3 Crore Lakhpati Didis and Women Empowerment

In the context of International Women's Day, the Prime Minister announced a major achievement in the field of women's empowerment. He shared that the government's goal of empowering 3 crore women to become 'Lakhpati Didis' has been successfully achieved. Prime Minister Modi recalled that when the initiative was launched, many had expressed skepticism and dismissed it as a political move. However, he proudly stated that more than 3 crore women have now reached this milestone. He described this as a historic step toward the economic independence and self-reliance of the nation's 'Nari Shakti'.

Expansion of Delhi Metro Phase 4 and NCR Connectivity

The Prime Minister also highlighted the new section of Delhi Metro Phase 4. He stated that this expansion would directly benefit lakhs of commuters in East and North-East Delhi. This new segment of the metro won't only facilitate easier travel within Delhi but also enhance connectivity with NCR cities such as Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, and Gurugram. According to the Prime Minister, this investment in infrastructure will accelerate the economic growth of the Delhi-NCR region and alleviate the daily commuting challenges faced by the public.

Critique of Previous Administration and Focus on Development Model
