Chandigarh / Preparations to extend the term of sports federations to four years, discussion on celebrating Olympic Day

Haryana | A meeting of the Olympic Association was held in Panchkula on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Haryana's Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs and President of Haryana Olympic Association, Sandeep Singh and Secretary General of the Olympic Association, Devendra Singh. All the members of the executive committee participated in it.

Sandeep Singh said that many important decisions were taken in the meeting. There was a discussion on celebrating Olympic Day on 23 June. Along with this, a proposal will be sent to the government for approval to increase the tenure of Haryana Olympic Association and all the sports federations related to the association from three to four years as per the rules of the Indian Olympic Association.

He said that all the state sports federations would take permission from the District Olympic Association and Haryana Olympic Association before conducting the competition. After getting the competition, the sports results will be submitted to the Haryana Olympic Association. Only federally recognized state sports federations will be able to organize free competition in the stadium.

The meeting was attended by Deputy President Bikramjit Singh, Mohammad Shine, Asim Goyal, Ashok Mor, Rani Tigri, Mahendra Kamboj, General Secretary Devendra Singh, Joint Secretary Neeraj Tanwar, Joginder Singh, Anil Khadri, Manish Kumar Grover, Rajkamal Danda, Vikram, IAS Anish, Ramandeep. Many people including Kamboj, Rajpal and Balbir Singh were present.
