Rajasthan Politics: There are assembly elections in Rajasthan at the end of the year. In view of the elections, the Congress has started its preparations. Today a big meeting of Rajasthan Congress took place. The great thing is that in the meeting a reconciliation was done between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. Sources have told that the Congress high command has accepted all the three demands of Sachin Pilot. The pilots have also been satisfied with this. Sources told that there will be a big announcement in a week regarding the role of Sachin Pilot in the party. It was decided in the meeting that Gehlot government will take immediate action against the corruption of Vasundhara government. 29 state Congress leaders including CM Ashok Gehlot and PCC chief attended the meeting.

What are the three demands of Sachin Pilot?

  • Rajasthan Public Service Commission i.e. RPSC should be abolished and it should be reconstituted.
  • Appropriate compensation should be given to all the students who have suffered losses due to paper leak.
  • Corruption cases against former CM and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia should be investigated.
Party can win elections only if there is unity – Venugopal

After the meeting held at AICC headquarters, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal told the media that the leaders in the meeting decided that the Congress can win the Rajasthan elections, provided there is unity in the Rajasthan Congress. On the party's preparations, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that today all the leaders unitedly decided to contest the elections. He said that the candidates will be selected only on the basis of winning ability. The list of candidates will be declared in the first week of September.

No one has the freedom to speak outside about internal politics – Venugopal

KC Venugopal told that the party has decided that everyone will have to follow strict discipline. Any issue has to be discussed within the party and no one has the freedom to speak outside the party about the internal politics of the party.
