After a strong wind in the afternoon, clouds camped in the sky. The rain that started in the city late in the evening lasted for a long time. In the bordering Barmer district, the pre-monsoon rains broke the records of the last 12 years. It rained up to 67 mm in different areas of the district in 3 hours.

In the border Chauhatan area, after four consecutive hours, due to heavy rains, a one-time flood-like situation has arisen in the town, where works and two-wheelers on the roads were washed away in water, while on other houses, water entered 4 to 5 feet. .

After changing the weather pattern in the border villages including Chauhatan town, torrential rains started. Due to heavy rain in the town, the entire town was waterlogged. Due to the torrential rains that lasted for several hours, low-lying settlements were inundated, many vehicles were seen swaying in the water that came with the strong current from the hills.

In Barmer, due to continuous rain for about 3 hours, the roads became river and many places were flooded. With the rain, the lightning continued. The whole city came to a standstill due to the high speed rain. In the late evening, water continued to flow on the streets of the city. People were returning to their homes after duty, but had to stop midway due to rain. The intensity of the rain increased and it became difficult to drive on the roads. Two wheelers of many people were stopped due to water.

Water logging in place:

Water logging was found at various places in the city. Rivers were not seen flowing on the streets. The Meteorological Department had predicted drizzle from the district, but here it stopped at many places in the district as if the monsoon had just arrived.

According to some media reports, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert saying that Nagaur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Jalore, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Sikar, Pali, Light to moderate rain, lightning and strong wind are expected in Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Bikaner, Jhalawar, Ajmer.
