Science / Solar storm will hit the earth at any time in the next 24 hours, this will be a big loss!

From now to the next 24 hours, a wave of hot and strong storm emanating from the sun can hit the earth. Because of this, GPS systems, cellphone networks and satellite TV can be affected. These can be interrupted. The amount and frequency of the Northern and Southern Lights may increase at the Earth's North and South Pole. On July 3, a major explosion was observed in the south of the sun. Due to which solar flares i.e. solar rays are moving rapidly towards the earth. They can cause trouble on Earth for a few minutes at any time from July 12 to the next 24 hours.

According to Spaceweather.com, this storm coming towards the sun can affect the Earth's magnetic field. People who live near the North or South Pole can get to see beautiful auroras in the night sky. But this beauty is also bringing many kinds of problems.

According to the US space agency NASA, this solar storm is coming towards the Earth at a speed of 1.6 million kilometers per hour. Which will get faster in some time. As this storm enters the Earth's magnetic field, satellite signals will be disrupted due to this. Due to which there can be problem in GPS, TV, mobile network.

According to Spaceweather.com, the outer atmosphere of the Earth can be heated due to solar storms, which will directly affect the satellites sent by different countries. Due to this, the work of planes, ships, mobile phones, satellite TV etc. running with the help of GPS will be disrupted. It may also happen that the power supply may be interrupted in some countries.

Due to the solar storm, a new type of storm will be born on the Earth. It is called Geomagnetic Storm. A geomagnetic storm occurs when charged particles from the Sun collide with the Earth's magnetic field. Due to this, the earth's magnetic field gets interrupted for some time. Due to which it becomes difficult to understand latitude and longitude. This causes the GPS to stop working.

When this solar storm started from the sun on July 3, high-frequency radio communication was interrupted in some parts of the US. But it was only for a few seconds. Because the wave from the sun caused changes in the X-rays and because of them the radio signals were interrupted.

The most catastrophic effect of a solar storm on Earth was seen in March 1989. Canada's Hydro-Quebec electricity transmission system was blacked out for nine hours due to a solar storm. After this, in 1991, due to a solar storm, there was a power outage in almost half of America. But these were not the biggest storms.

It is said that all these solar storms were not as severe as the solar storm that occurred on 1-2 September 1859. This is called the Carrington event. At that time there was not much electricity, satellite, smartphone etc. But the storm of the intensity it was, if it had come at this time, there would have been great devastation. Power grids would be shut down in many countries. Satellites don't work. The GPS system would have been disrupted. The mobile network would have disappeared. Radio communication would have deteriorated.
