Rajasthan: The 369 feet high Shiva statue 'Vishvas Swaroopam' built in Nathdwara town of Rajsamand district in Rajasthan will be inaugurated on Saturday. It is claimed that this statue of Lord Shiva with a thoughtless and meditative posture is the tallest Shiva statue in the world. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, narrator Murari Bapu, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Speaker of the Assembly Dr. CP Joshi will also be present in the launch program. After the inauguration of the statue, Madan Paliwal, trustee of the institute and president of the Miraj Group, said that from October 29 to November 6, there would be religious, spiritual and cultural programs for nine days. This 369 feet high statue will be the only such statue in the world, in which lift, stairs, hall for devotees have been built. The construction of the statue took 10 years and used 3000 tonnes of steel and iron, 2.5 lakh cubic tonnes of concrete and sand.” The foundation of the project was laid in August 2012 in the presence of the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Murari Bapu.
