Rajasthan's tribal-dominated Banswara district has once again confirmed a massive gold reserve. The latest discovery is in Kankaria village, located in the Ghatol region of the district. This new find is strengthening Banswara's reputation as a 'gold hub' in India. Geologists have found strong indications of potential gold ore deposits in a vast area of approximately 3 kilometers in Kankaria.

Estimated Reserves and Mining Prospects

According to geological assessments, the entire area spanning 940. 26 hectares is estimated to contain 113. 52 million tons of gold ore, with an estimated gold metal content of 222. 39 tons – a significant quantity. On top of that, the Kankaria-Gara area, covering 205 hectares, shows potential for 1, while 24 million tons of gold ore. Mining operations are expected to commence soon after the issuance of the mining license.
