Earlier today there will be a panchayat in Kiera village of Palwal. Earlier Pondari village was selected for the panchayat but the administration did not give permission here. After this, Kira village was chosen as the new place. Apart from Nuh, people from the villages of Faridabad, Palwal, Gurugram have also been called in the mahapanchayat. More than 20 thousand people are expected to participate.

6 killed in violence on 31st July

Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad had organized a religious yatra on 31 July. Violence broke out when the yatra reached a crossroads in Nuh. The Hindu side claims that some boys pelted stones at the yatra. On the other hand, the other side says that the people involved in the yatra were waving weapons. However, the police is probing the violence case. Six people died and 80 were injured in the violence that spread to Gurugram. A mosque was set on fire in Gurugram and the Imam was killed. This murder was carried out by some boys of the same village located one and a half kilometer from Gurugram. The police have arrested them. Apart from these, people from Nuh, Mewat and nearby villages have also been arrested. Meanwhile, more than 1200 houses here have been razed to the ground by bulldozers.

Demand for arrest of Monu Manesar

It is said that there is resentment among the people of Nuh, Mewat and surrounding Muslim community for not arresting Monu Manesar. Before the yatra, he had allegedly shared a video on social media and called for joining the yatra. He himself was about to join the yatra. Since Monu is accused of killing two Muslim youths Nasir-Junaid, he is out of police custody for 6 months. People of Mewat, Nuh and nearby areas are continuously demanding his arrest.
