A devastating road accident on National Highway 68 in Barmer. District led to the tragic death of a Bolero Camper driver. The incident occurred around 2 PM near Damaniyon ki Dhani, falling under the jurisdiction of the Rural Police Station, when a private bus and a Bolero Camper collided head-on, while the impact was so severe that the front portion of the camper was completely crushed.
Details of the Collision
According to police, Padmaram, son of Shriram, a resident of Chadi village in Ramsar police station area, was driving his Bolero Camper from Barmer city towards Bhadkha village. A private bus coming from the opposite direction collided with his vehicle, while padmaram sustained severe head injuries in the powerful crash and died on the spot. The bus cleaner also suffered injuries and has been admitted to the hospital. The Bolero Camper was completely shattered due to the force of the collision.
Police Response and Investigation
Upon receiving information, Rural Police Station SHO Rajuram Bamaniya, along with his police team, immediately rushed to the scene. The police promptly began rescue operations. The body of the deceased, Padmaram, was recovered and shifted to the hospital mortuary in Barmer for post-mortem examination, while both the damaged vehicles were removed from the highway with the help of a crane and seized by the police.
Ongoing Inquiry
SHO Rajuram Bamaniya stated that an investigation into the entire incident has been launched. He added that further legal action would be taken once a formal report is submitted by the family members. This tragic accident once again highlights concerns about road safety standards and the dangers of high-speed driving on highways.
