Wrestlers Protest: Wrestlers sitting on dharna against Indian Wrestling Association President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh have made a big announcement. Announcing to continue his dharna, he said that till Brij Bhushan Singh is not arrested, his dharna will continue at Jantar Mantar. He said that what will happen when the president of the wrestling association exploits the wrestlers?

'Dharna will continue till police action'

Wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar said in a press conference today that we thank the Supreme Court. We don't trust Delhi Police at all. Now when the court has ordered the police to take action, then the next decision will be taken after the action taken by the police. But till then the strike will continue. Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik said in the press conference that they request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to remove Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from all posts. If he remains in office, he can influence the investigation.

'Sports minister didn't even pick up our phone'

He said that we thank all the players who supported us in this fight, tweeted in our support. He said that there is an appeal to the players that if sports are to be saved in the country, then sports have to be saved from such people. All the players have to come together. He said that Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has not met us even for 12 minutes. The officials of the Sports Ministry told us that the minister is currently busy with some other work. They didn't even pick up our phone.

Hearing was also held in the Supreme Court

Earlier, during the hearing in the Supreme Court, the Delhi Police said that it will register an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh against women wrestlers. While speaking on behalf of the wrestlers, Kapil Sibal said that we are concerned about the safety of the wrestlers. He said that there are 40 cases registered against the accused and there is also a murder case in this. That's why the court formed a special task force. A retired judge should head this task force.
