Arvind Kejriwal: Aam Aadmi Party leaders have invited people from door to door for the party's mega rally to be held on Friday, March 31. The party leaders also led a candle march to garner support for the jailed Delhi Chief Minister and their leader Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in a case of alleged corruption in excise policy. Aam Aadmi Party's Delhi convenor Gopal Rai along with several party workers met people in Regarpura and Karol Bagh areas of Central Delhi.

‘The public is angry after the arrest of Delhi CM’

During this time, Gopal Rai also appealed to the people to participate in the 'Maharali' which is going to be held at Ramlila Maidan on March 31. He said that people have been angry since the day the BJP government at the Center arrested the popularly elected Chief Minister of Delhi. He said, 'Today we are distributing invitation cards from door to door and urging people to come to Ramlila Maidan and peacefully raise their voice against democracy and dictatorship.' He said that all the prominent leaders of the opposition alliance 'I.N.D.I.A.' Will participate in the rally.

Candle march taken out in protest against Kejriwal's arrest

Aam Aadmi Party leader Vishesh Ravi took out a candle march to protest against Kejriwal's arrest. At the same time, party MLA Somnath Bharti alleged that the police in Delhi Cantt area stopped him and his fellow MLA Virendra Kadian from inviting people for the Maharally. He claimed that the police cited Section 144, but no order was shown. Bharti said, 'What does BJP want? First put the top leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in jail and then stop their candidates from campaigning.
