Samajwadi Party: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav is said to be angry with former cabinet minister Azam Khan. Let us tell you that Rampur Samajwadi Party District President Ajay Sagar had issued a letter quoting jailed Azam Khan. Azam Khan had written in the letter that he is boycotting the current Lok Sabha elections. It is being told that the SP supremo is angry with Azam Khan regarding this letter.

Azam had made serious allegations against BJP

Earlier, Samajwadi Party's Rampur district president had said on Tuesday that the party's district unit wanted SP President Akhilesh Yadav to contest the Lok Sabha elections from this constituency, but now he is intent on 'boycotting' the elections. A statement bearing the names of district unit president Ajay Sagar and jailed leader Azam Khan accused the ruling BJP of election violations and excesses against SP leaders. The letter written in Hindi said that he had asked Akhilesh Yadav to contest from Rampur due to these 'special circumstances' of the constituency.

Akhilesh had gone to meet Azam in jail

This letter from Azam Khan indirectly indicates that Akhilesh had rejected this request. It said, 'In this environment and circumstances, we are boycotting the current elections.' However, it also said that only the party chief can take a decision on this matter. Let us tell you that at the end of last week, Akhilesh Yadav had gone to meet Azam Khan in Sitapur jail to talk about the elections with senior party leaders. This statement has come a few days after his meeting.
