PAK vs WI 2nd ODI: Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after registering a massive 120-run win over West Indies in the second ODI. The first match of the series was won by the hosts by 5 wickets. In the second match played in Multan, Pakistan scored 275 runs in front of West Indies for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs on the basis of half-centuries from Imam-ul-Haq (72) and Babar Azam (77). In front of this score, the visiting team was bundled out for 155 runs. Mohammad Nawaz took the highest four wickets for Pakistan and was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in this match, but Fakhar Zaman again failed to give a good start to the team. He got out on a personal score of 17. This was followed by a century partnership for the second wicket between Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam. This was the 8th century partnership between the two players. But the partnership ended in a disappointing fashion, with Imam-ul-Haq being run out for lack of coordination and expressing his anger by slamming the bat on the field. After some time Babar Azam was also out and then no batsman could score big.

Babar Azam could not break Virat Kohli's record

In the second ODI against West Indies, captain Babar Azam once again managed to cross the 50 mark but he missed out on a century. With this innings, he overtook Australia's David Warner and Matthew Hayden in terms of scoring the most runs in 6 consecutive innings, but he could not break the record of Virat Kohli and Ross Taylor. Taylor holds the record for scoring 628 runs in 6 consecutive innings, while Kohli scored 617 runs in the same number of innings. Babar Azam could only reach 614 runs with these 77 runs and he was just 4 runs behind breaking Kohli's record.

West Indies were bundled out for 155 runs

Chasing the target of 276 runs, Shaheen Afridi gave the first blow to the West Indies team in the very first over in the form of Shay Hope. But after this, Kyle Meyers (33) and Shamrah Brooks (42) took over the team with half-century partnership. After the dismissal of these two players, the entire West Indies team collapsed like a pack of cards. Apart from captain Nicholas Pooran, no batsman after this could touch the figure of 25 runs.
