Team India: The final match of the World Test Championship (WTC Final-2023) between India and Australia is to be played in London from June 7. For this, BCCI has announced the team, whose captaincy has been handed over to opener Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, BCCI made a big announcement on Thursday and included some other players in the squad.

Ishaan and Sarfaraz get a chance

The BCCI selection committee has announced Rituraj Gaikwad, Sarfaraz Khan and Ishan Kishan as standby players for the World Test Championship final match (WTC Final) against Australia. While Gaikwad and Sarfaraz have been named as specialist batsmen, Ishan Kishan has been named as the wicket-keeper batsman. The BCCI has named pacer Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar as standby bowlers for the match.

Dravid will leave for England on May 23

BCCI has made a special plan for the WTC final. The BCCI wants several days of warm-up matches before the WTC final in England, which is under consideration. With the return of Team India players after the end of the IPL-2023 season, the BCCI wants the players to get used to the conditions of playing in London. Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid, coaching staff and players out of IPL playoffs will leave for England on May 23.

Meanwhile, a BCCI official has informed that some players will leave for London along with Rahul Dravid. According to a report by InsideSport, 'Rahul will leave for London in the last week of May, around May 23-24. Most of the players will leave after their IPL commitments. Some players will go with Dravid, whose IPL campaign will end.
