Parliament Session: The issue of mimicry of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar by some opposition MPs in the Parliament complex has heated up. All NDA MPs are standing in Rajya Sabha for one hour in honor of the Vice President. Also, BJP has announced to burn the effigy of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi across the country. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday and expressed disappointment over the behavior of some MPs. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu has also expressed disappointment. In fact, during the opposition's protest on the steps of Parliament yesterday, Trinamool Congress leader Kalyan Banerjee had ridiculed Vice President Dhankhar. The MPs were protesting against their suspension.

The Vice President tweeted and said, 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi's telephone call came. He expressed deep sorrow over the disgusting theatrics of some honorable MPs. He told me that he has been enduring such insults for the last twenty years, but the fact that with a constitutional post like the Vice President of India and that too in Parliament, this can happen is unfortunate. I told him that Mr. Prime Minister, the actions of some people will not stop me from performing my duty and maintaining the principles enshrined in our Constitution. I am wholeheartedly committed to those values. No insult will force me to change my path.

‘The dignity of expression of MPs should be within the norms’

President Draupadi Murmu tweeted, 'I was disappointed to see the way our respected Vice President was insulted in the Parliament complex. Elected representatives should be free to express themselves, but their expression should be within the norms of dignity and decorum. This has been a parliamentary tradition of which we are proud and the people of India expect him to maintain it.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij says that making fun of Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar by Mamata Banerjee's MP Kalyan Banerjee is condemnable. Kalyan Banerjee should be dismissed from Parliament and admitted to a zoo. At the same time, BJP Kisan Morcha announced to burn effigies of Rahul Gandhi and the opposition across the country. Effigies will be burnt at every district headquarters from 12 noon to 3 pm. Rahul Gandhi has maintained silence on this matter, when this incident happened, Rahul was also present there and was seen making a video of Kalyan Banerjee.

Kalyan Banerjee gave clarification

TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has given clarification regarding mocking the Vice President. He has said that I have no intention of hurting anyone. I have a lot of respect for Dhankhar ji. The Prime Minister of India has also mimicked himself in the Lok Sabha. Dhankhar is a lawyer and I am also a lawyer. He is my senior so I respect him a lot, he has also been our former Governor.

Here, opposition MPs have protested in front of the Gandhi statue outside the Parliament regarding the suspension. Congress MP Sonia Gandhi has also participated in this protest. 141 members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha have been suspended for creating ruckus in Parliament, after which the opposition is furious.
