According to the WorldMeter, 3,15,478 new corona infections were found in India in 24 hours till 12 o'clock on Wednesday night. This number of infected in a day is the highest in the world since the onset of the epidemic. Before this, America had the record of getting the most new infections in one day in the world.

On January 8, 2021, 3,07,570 new infections were detected in the US. But now India has gone ahead in this matter. The number of deaths of corona patients occurring daily for six consecutive days is breaking records. A total of 2101 corona patients succumbed during 24 hours. With this, the total number of people who died due to the epidemic in the country increased to 1,84,672. So far, the total number of corona infected has increased to 1,59,24,732. The number of under-treated patients in the country reached 22,84,209. This is 14.3 percent of the total number of infected people.

The recovery rate is below 85 percent:

The recovery rate for corona-infected people has fallen to 84.5 percent. According to statistics, the number of people recovering from this disease has increased to 1,34,47,040. The national death toll from Corona has fallen to 1.20 percent, but in Maharashtra it is 1.5 percent and in West Bengal 1.6 percent.

75 percent deaths in eight states:

The maximum number of 568 people died in the country during 24 hours in Maharashtra. After this, 249 people died in Delhi, 193 in Chhattisgarh, 187 in UP, Gujarat 125, 116 in Karnataka, 69 in Punjab and 75 in Madhya Pradesh. A total of 1556 deaths occurred in these eight states, which is 75.2 percent of the total 2101 deaths.

59 percent of newly infected only in six states:

Maharashtra has the highest number of 67,468 new infections. After this, 33106 new patients were found in Uttar Pradesh, 24638 in Delhi, 23558 in Karnataka, 22414 in Kerala and 14519 in Chhattisgarh.
