New Delhi : The dreaded corona virus, which wreaked havoc all over the world, has not yet completely ended that a disease named monkeypox has knocked in the country. On one hand, cases of monkeypox have been found in more than 75 countries of the world. In India too, the Union Health Ministry has issued an alert to all the state governments after the declaration of Global Health Emergency. Meanwhile, vaccine maker Adar Poonawalla has told when its vaccine will arrive in India.

Serum talks with Denmark

In fact, Adar Poonawalla of the Serum Institute, which makes the vaccine, has told NDTV that the Serum Institute of India is in talks with Novavax to develop a messenger vaccine of monkeypox. Currently, he is currently exploring the possibility of bulk importing Malpox vaccines in case of an emergency. Smallpox vaccine from Danish company Bavarian Nordic may arrive in India in three months.

Vaccine making process a little longer

He also informed that Serum Institute has the capacity to manufacture smallpox vaccines in bulk under license. We also need to see whether there will be a lot of demand for its vaccine or it will be over in three to four months. Because the process of making a vaccine is sometimes lengthy and it can take more than a year.

Monkey pox vaccine different from corona vaccine

Poonawalla also told that the vaccine of monkeypox is different from the vaccine of corona. Different types of technology are used in this. At present we do not have a vaccine for this but we are moving fast in this direction. Let us inform that this statement of Poonawalla has come at a time when there is an atmosphere of panic in the country regarding monkeypox.

On the other hand, another suspected patient with symptoms of monkeypox has been admitted to Loknayak Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday. This patient came to the hospital emergency with symptoms of fever and skin rash. The patient has been kept in the isolation ward. After infecting thousands of people in many countries of Africa and Europe, this disease has come to India and preparations are being made to fight it in many cities of the country.
