Pakistan : There is another bad news for Pakistan facing economic slowdown. Global terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has made it clear that they are not going to remove Pakistan from the 'Grey List' yet. The FATF chief said in his statement that a decision in this regard would be taken after the onsite visit.

In a statement on Friday, the FATF said that Pakistan has largely completed its two action plans, but will be required to verify whether the implementation of the reforms has begun and is being continued. is necessary. Therefore, the task force has told the need to visit for this. FATF Chief Marcus Pleier said it also needed to see "the political commitment needed to maintain implementation and reform in the future remains".

FATF President Marcus Pleier said, "Pakistan is not being removed from the gray list today. If the onsite visit finds that its action is sustainable, it will be removed. Plier further said that an onsite inspection would be conducted before October and a formal announcement of Pakistan's withdrawal would be made.

These days the plenary session of FATF June 2022 is being organized in Germany, in which this decision was taken. The watchdog will continue to monitor the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and will take a decision on visiting Pakistan at the earliest.
