India-Russia Relation: PM Modi spoke to Vladimir Putin on phone and congratulated him on being elected President of Russia for the fifth time. Along with congratulations, PM Modi has extended best wishes for peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Russia. Apart from this, he also discussed about diplomatic partnership between the two countries. He discussed India-Russia dialogue as a way forward and reiterated India's consistent position in favor of diplomacy.

Congratulating Putin on X (ex-Twitter), PM Modi wrote, “Spoke to President Putin and congratulated him on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation. India-Russia will further expand the privileged strategic partnership in the coming years and work together. There has been an agreement for this in both the countries.

PM spoke after the results of Russian elections

At the same time, PM Modi also talked to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. PM Modi said that both the leaders have agreed to remain in touch. Let us tell you that this is the fifth time that Putin has been elected President of Russia. Recently, the results of Chuvan, which was held for three days, were revealed in which Putin has registered a historic victory.

Putin has been in power continuously for 25 years
