Political / Prashant Kishor offers to help BJP frenemy Shiv Sena with Lok Sabha election strategy

Prashant Kishor, the man behind the campiagn that made Narendra Modi prime minister, has offered the Shiv Sena his guidance as Maharashtra gears up for state and general elections. The Shiv Sena and the BJP are part of Maharashtra's ruling coalition, although the BJP is the majority partner by some distance. In the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the Sena holds the maximum seats, with the BJP.

Prashant Kishor was appointed the Janata Dal (United)'s national vice-president in October last year. (The JD(U) is also an NDA member.)

He will design the Shiv Sena's campaign. Other responsibilities: media management and election strategy.
