This violence has ruined the lives of thousands of people in your state.

He said that this incident has struck a deep chord on the conscience of the nation. He said, 'My deepest sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones in this violence. It pains me to see people forced to leave the place they call home. They leave behind everything they have built up in their lifetime. It is very sad to see our brothers and sisters living peacefully with each other turning against each other.

More than 100 people died in the violence

More than 100 people have died in the violence that broke out a month ago between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur. Violent clashes broke out after a 'Tribal Solidarity March' was organized in the hill districts on May 3 to protest against the Meitei community's demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status in the state.

People are forced to leave their homes
