Once again the agitation has started in Rajasthan for the demand of reservation. Now Mali, Kushwaha Shakya, Maurya Samaj have separately demanded 12% reservation. Hundreds of people from the society blocked the National Highway-21 (Agra-Jaipur) in Bharatpur with sticks in their hands. Highway is jammed for 24 hours. Here, Bharatpur Divisional Commissioner Sanwarmal Verma shut down the internet in four towns for 24 hours from 11 am on Monday.

The government has authorized minister Vishvendra Singh and the divisional commissioner to hold talks with the representatives of the agitators.

Laxman Singh Kushwaha, patron of Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti, said – The people of the society are demanding reservation under the Constitution. The provision has been given in Article 16(4) of the Constitution. Those castes which are very backward, they can be given reservation at their level by the state government. It has nothing to do with the center. There is neither an IAS officer nor RAS in the society today.

Kushwaha said- Kachi (Mali) society comes in the most backward. The population of Kachi community is 12 percent, so we are asking for reservation on the basis of population. Have met the Chief Minister regarding this. The Chief Minister had assured that it would be considered, but till date no thought has been given. After which the people of the society have been forced to do a wheel jam. So far no representative of the government has reached Aroda to talk. He said- We will not talk at the administrative level.

Netbandi to stop rumours

Cabinet Minister Vishvendra Singh and Divisional Commissioner Sanwarmal Verma have been authorized by the government to hold talks with the representatives of the agitators. Minister Vishvendra Singh gave this information on Monday evening.

Singh said- We are ready to talk. The question is, who is the leader of the people of Mali society who are agitating? With whom shall we talk? These people have blocked the highway for 24 hours.
