Farmers protest in Tamil Nadu

A group of farmers from Tamil Nadu extended support to the 'Delhi Chalo' farmers' protest in Trichy. Farmer leader P Ayyakannu said that according to the Constitution, we can move freely within the country for our rights, but the police is not allowing farmers to protest in Delhi...if PM Modi is elected in the upcoming elections. If a farmer contests elections from any constituency in Tamil Nadu, the farmers will file nomination against him from that constituency.

Protesting farmers trying to cross the Haryana-Punjab Shambhu border forcibly removed the cement barricade with their tractors. Police used tear gas to disperse the protesting farmers.
