New Delhi : A Zomato food delivery executive himself set his bike on fire in Delhi's posh Khan Market area. According to reports, when the police tried to stop the youth, he also pelted stones. The man who set the bike on fire after the incident has been identified as Nadeem.

It is being told that on October 23, he parked his bike in front of Khan Market police post. Then after sprinkling petrol on him, he set it on fire. The incident on Sunday created panic in the posh market area. The bike fire also engulfed a small wooden shop nearby.

According to police sources, 23-year-old Nadeem had come to the market the previous day to get food from a restaurant there. While he was waiting to receive the package, a couple passed by. The woman accused him of stalking and complained at the police post there. However, no written complaint was lodged. Not only this, one of the policemen on duty slapped Nadeem. Angered by this, he returned the next day and set his bike on fire.

At present, the police has taken him into custody and is interrogating him. Police force and fire brigade reached the spot soon after the fire broke out. Before the flames from the two-wheeler had spread to a nearby furniture shop.

According to the police, Nadeem is a resident of Malviya Nagar. He works as a delivery boy in Zomato. His marriage broke up a few days ago. This made him angry and angry. The burning bike is clearly visible in the video recorded on the spot. Also, Nadeem pelted stones at the police to avoid being caught. A separate clip showed the man after being caught. As the police take him away. He is heard abusing her.
