Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at 3 pm on Tuesday. According to sources, 'Kejriwal's first guarantee' 300 units of free electricity can be announced in Punjab soon. All preparations are going on on mission mode to make 300 units free in Punjab. On Monday, Mann had met senior officials of Punjab. On Tuesday, Bhagwant Mann will also meet President Ram Nath Kovind and the Vice President.

The first guarantee was given by the Aam Aadmi Party to provide 300 units of electricity free of cost in the Punjab Assembly elections. However, after the formation of the government, due to no work in this direction, the opponents were attacking the government. Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress had said that AAP had promised 300 units of free electricity as the first guarantee to the people of Punjab. People of Punjab are now waiting for free electricity.

Earlier on Thursday, the state government had released electricity tariff for Punjab. In this, the government did not increase the rates but there was no mention of 300 units of free electricity. Akali Dal spokesperson Dr. Daljit Cheema said that the people of Punjab are waiting for 300 units of free electricity. In the special session also, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann did not make any mention of free electricity, which has disappointed the people of the state. Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that the guarantee of 300 units of free electricity was not fulfilled in the first cabinet meeting of the Bhagwant Mann government. The people of the state have reposed full faith in him, so the responsibility of the Chief Minister increases even more.

You claim, soon you will get free electricity

AAP spokesperson Dr. Sunny Singh Ahluwalia claimed that the government would also live up to the election promise of providing 300 units of free electricity. The Punjab government will soon implement this decision. The AAP government is the first government in Punjab to continue with the old electricity rates without putting additional burden on the people after coming to power.
