Gujrat | The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reversed the calendar after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he was born on Janmashtami. In Gujarat, BJP state president CR Patil has taunted Kejriwal's claim as false. Patil said he had never seen such a liar. Patil claimed that Kejriwal was born a day after Janmashtami and not on Janmashtami.

Patil said, "I have never seen a liar like Kejriwal. He is the chief minister and holds a responsible post, but the way he tells lies, it is difficult for me to react. He said that he was born on 16 August 1968. Janmashtami was on 15th August in 1968. If he needs to lie even on such things then I can't understand. sent to destroy the children.

Patil, in response to a question, said that Kejriwal called the people of Gujarat Kansa. Patil said, "He (Kejriwal) called the people of Gujarat Kansa. The people of Gujarat are kind, otherwise people would not allow them to enter (in the state). Calling the people of Gujarat Kansa and then asking for votes in Gujarat itself, it is possible only here, if you have the courage, do it at some other place. I think he should control his speech and stop lying."

Kejriwal on Saturday hit back at the BJP amid controversy over the oath administered in the presence of Delhi minister Rajendra Pal Gautam. Responding to posters put up against him in Gujarat, Kejriwal said that he was born on Janmashtami and God has sent him to destroy the descendants of Kansa. Kejriwal said that he is a true devotee of Lord Hanuman and claimed that words insulting the Lord have been used in the poster. Referring to the poster, he said that demonic forces are united against him, who is the son of Kansa. "They insult the Lord and his devotees and indulge in riots and violence," he said.
